Getting to know us
Who We Are
The Name of our Church, the Gathering, defines who we are. It is derived from the greek word “Ekkelesia,” which the New Testament commonly translates as “Church.” An Ekkelesia was a GATHERING of like-minded people with a common mission, and that’s exactly who we are. We are a GATHERING of like-minded people in the belief that Jesus died for the sins of the world. We have the common mission of making disciples through preaching the Gospel, teaching disciples by applying the Gospel, and sending disciples in the power of the Gospel. Despite the different backgrounds, cultures, races, ages, activities, and interests of the members of our GATHERING, we are all united under our common beliefs and mission. We are not a religious organization or social club, but a GATHERING of people who are redeemed in Christ and living on mission for him.
Whether your a seeker who wants to know more about who Jesus is, or a committed follower of Jesus, we invite you to join us on Sunday mornings as we Gather to worship and study God’s Word.
Making Disciples through the preaching of the Gospel. Growing Disciples by applying the Gospel. Sending Disciples in the power of the Gospel.
